Guide: Set the Default Game Mode to Creative on Your Minecraft Server 🎮

Hello! At HolyHosting, we want to make sure your Minecraft experience is exactly as you imagine it. If you want all players who join your server to have the "creative" game mode by default, you're in the right place! Here we show you how to do it in a few steps. 🧱✨

Open the server control panel and go to the "Files" section.

Inside the server files, locate the file called server.properties. This file contains several essential configurations for your server.

Open the file server.properties. Find the line that says gamemode=survival. Change survival to creative, like this:

Step 4: Force the game mode 📄

Find the line that says "force-gamemode" and change the value "false" to true.

After making the change, save the file and restart your server for the changes to take effect. Now, all players will automatically enter in creative mode! 🚀

What happens if the players are already on the server?

• If the players are already on the server when you change the default game mode, they will continue in their current game mode until they die or you manually change their mode with the command /gamemode.

Can I change the default game mode to a different one?

• Of course! Simply change creative to survival or adventure in the server.properties.
