Is your server bursting with players and you need more space? Do not worry! Here we show you how to add more slots and make sure nobody is left out of the fun.
Before increasing the slots, make sure your server has enough RAM and CPU to handle the additional load. Tip: For every 10-20 additional players, it is recommended to have at least 1GB of extra RAM.
Access your server files and look for the server.properties file. Open the file and find the line that says max-players. Here you can increase the number of slots simply by changing the number.

Done! Now your server can host more players. Do not forget to save the changes and restart the server for them to take effect.
If you have increased the slots but experience lag or disconnections, it might be time to upgrade your hosting plan. At HolyHosting, we offer scalable solutions that fit your needs.
โ The server still lags when I add more slots:
โ๏ธโSolution: Reduce the number of players or consider optimizing the server by removing unnecessary plugins or adjusting RAM allocation.
โ Players cannot join after increasing the slots:
โ๏ธโSolution: Verify that the server has been properly restarted and that the changes in server.properties have been saved correctly.
And that is all!
