Today we present a step-by-step tutorial to solve the most common errors when using Simple Voice Chat. Below, we will cover two common issues and how to fix them.
This error is easily recognized by a warning icon and an error message when trying to speak. It means that Simple Voice Chat could not connect for some reason, but don't worry, here's how to fix it.

Access the server ports:
Create a new port and copy the generated number.

Paste the copied port in the Simple Voice Chat configuration. (Files --- > Plugins ----> Voicechat ----> voicechat-server.properties)

This should resolve any issues related to blocked or misconfigured ports.
Did you know that Simple Voice Chat works as a plugin? On servers that use Forge together with plugins, it is common to encounter permission issues. Here you will learn how to resolve them by giving the proper permissions to players who are not OP.
Download LuckPerms from its official page and make sure to select the Bukkit version (The LuckPerms mod won't work!).

Place the plugin file inside the plugins folder of your server.
Access the console of your server and run the following command:
lp editor

The console will return a link. Open it in your browser.
In the console, enter the command shown on screen. (paste it without /)

From the editor page, open the Groups tab and select default.
Assign the permissions needed for Voice Chat. According to the official plugin documentation, the basic permissions are:
voicechat.listen y voicechat.speak

Finally, click on "Apply"
