Hosting a Minecraft server allows you to create structures like mob farms, but their efficiency can be affected by spawn limits. To solve this, you can easily adjust these limits from the server panel. Additionally, on Forge and Fabric servers, it is possible to use mods to control the spawn. In short, whether with mods or plugins, it is possible to modify these values from the panel.
Bukkit Servers

Paper and Spigot servers are the most popular due to their extensive customization. Only these allow modifying mob spawn limits, which can cause some inconveniences. To better manage them, you can use plugins like MobsManager, whose installation is straightforward from the panel. Below, the universal method for adjusting these limits on Paper and Spigot servers is explained.
Head to your Holy server panel, then click on Config Files near the upper left corner.

Important: Make sure you are using the correct server profile for this process.
Locate and select the Bukkit Config (bukkit.yml) option to reveal its contents.

Within the file, increase or decrease the values for the spawn-limits options.

Then, press Save at the top and continue with Restart now on the next prompt.
Paper 1.19 and above servers have additional settings in the paper-world-defaults.yml file, accessible through the config directory in your FTP File
Access area on the panel. Similarly, Spigot has more options in the spigot.yml file, located in the main FTP section. If you want more control without plugins, it is suggested to review them.
Modded Servers

Modded servers can become chaotic due to high spawning of custom entities, like dragons. To avoid lag and other issues, it is important to limit mob spawning. This varies depending on the server type, with Forge and Fabric being the most common. Below, the solutions and specific mods for each are explained.
Forge

On Forge servers, customizing mob spawning requires mods, as there are no universal default options. A useful mod is Bad Mobs, which allows you to disable specific mobs easily through an editable file from the panel. Its installation is straightforward following the guide, and it should only be done on the server, not on the launcher. If Bad Mobs does not fit your needs, it is recommended to explore other options.
Fabric

Fabric servers are similar to Forge servers, but with differences in mod compatibility depending on the game version. A notable mod is Limit Mob Spawns, compatible with both server types. This allows you to set custom spawn rules, providing advanced control similar to gamerules. Its installation is like other mods, but in this case, all players must also have it in their launchers.
