Choosing the Right Hosting for Your Minecraft Server
When it comes to hosting your Minecraft server, selecting the right type of hosting for your needs is essential. Here’s a quick comparison between Minecraft Hosting, VPS, Semi-Dedicated, and Dedicated Servers:
Minecraft Hosting (or other games)
Who it’s for: Perfect for “friends-only” servers or small community servers just starting out, offering a solid option at the best price.
Resources: Processing power from a single node is shared across all hosted servers. At HolyHosting, we typically host around 15 servers simultaneously per node.
Control Panel: “Pro” Pterodactyl, specifically designed for hosting Minecraft (or other games).

VPS (Virtual Private Server)
Who it’s for: Ideal for hosting applications, programs, databases, websites, bots, scripts, etc., that don’t require high CPU power. We do not recommend using VPS for Minecraft due to its heavy CPU demands, especially on newer versions or modpacks.
Resources: Processing power is shared across all VPS hosted on a node. At HolyHosting, about 20 VPS run simultaneously per node.
Control: Virtfusion Panel with full root access.

Dedicated Servers
Who it’s for: Recommended for Minecraft networks, large community servers, or businesses that require full processing power due to high or critical usage.
Resources: The entire node is dedicated to a single user, delivering maximum power.
Control Panel: “Pro” Pterodactyl plus full root access to the node.
