Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide on how to install GeyserMC on a Minecraft server:
Access your Minecraft server control panel and make sure the server is stopped.
Download the GeyserMC installation file from the official GeyserMC website. Make sure to download the version compatible with your Minecraft server. You can find the installer in the website’s Downloads section.
Go to the Files section in your server control panel. Locate the plugins folder in your server’s root directory. Remember, you need a Minecraft version that supports plugins, such as PaperSpigot.
Upload the GeyserMC installation file you downloaded in step 2 to the plugins folder using the control panel’s file upload feature.
Restart the server so the plugin loads properly.
Go to the Ports tab in the left-hand menu. Click Add Extra Port, enter a port of your choice, and copy it.
Restart the Minecraft server so it detects the new port. Once it’s running, stop it again, go back to Ports, and set the new port as the primary. If you skip this step, the server might not detect both ports.
Open the Geyser configuration, locate the bedrock section, and then port. By default, it’s set to 19132. Change it to the port you added earlier in the Ports tab. Save and close the configuration.
Once the server restarts, open the Console from your control panel.
In the server console, type the following command to confirm GeyserMC is installed correctly:
/geyser
If installed correctly, you’ll see a message in the console indicating that the plugin loaded successfully.
Now you can connect to your Minecraft server using any Bedrock-compatible Minecraft client. To do this, open Minecraft, select Connect to Server, enter your server’s IP address and port, and click Join Server.
If you still have trouble installing the plugin after following these steps, don’t hesitate to contact our staff team—we’ll help you set it up properly.
