Hosting a dedicated Rust server usually involves using uMod plugins, which allow server owners to add custom features. Some of these include admin privileges like teleportation, god mode, and many other functions. Almost all plugins require entering commands in chat, which can be cumbersome. Fortunately, a developer created a system to make this easier: the Admin Panel for Rust, a uMod plugin that integrates with popular plugins to simplify management. Instead of typing commands, you simply click buttons in a GUI menu to execute them. This small plugin provides many configurable options, with some required permissions. Here’s how to install and use the Admin Panel on your Rust server with HolyHosting.

How to Download
Visit the Admin Panel plugin page on the uMod website.
On the right-hand side of the page, click the Download button.
Save the file to an easily accessible location on your computer.

Installation
Installing the Admin Panel plugin on your server is straightforward and takes only a few minutes:
Go to your HolyHosting server panel and click FTP File Access at the top left.
Make sure to select the correct server profile for this installation.
Enter your password in the text box and press Login.
Locate the oxide directory in the main file list.
Open the plugins folder and click Upload at the top left.
Drag and drop the downloaded file into the upload area.
Wait for it to reach 100%, then return to the main panel and Restart the server.
Once it has loaded, join the server to confirm that everything is working.
Getting Started
When you first join the server, you might not see anything immediately. This is likely because you aren’t an admin yet.
Set up your account as an admin.
Use the Oxide command to add the required permission:
adminpanel.allowed
This allows you to view and use the Admin Panel, which appears in the top-right corner of the in-game screen. Initially, only the Teleportation feature is available. To access additional functionality, you’ll need to install specific plugins compatible with the Admin Panel.
Installing Plugins
The main plugin doesn’t come with custom features out of the box. You must install additional plugins to interact with the Admin Panel. Some popular options include:
Admin Radar: Detects cheaters by showing player locations, health, distance, and other key info on your screen.
Godmode: Enables invincibility against players, environmental damage, and creatures.
Vanish: Makes you invisible to other players and entities.
Player Administration: Provides full control over your player base.
Using the Admin Panel
Once additional plugins are installed, more buttons appear in the top-right corner of your in-game screen. Click a button to activate the plugin’s functionality, such as enabling God Mode. Each button is customizable in the Admin Panel configuration file — you can adjust size, position, and color.
For example, Player Administration opens a menu where you can ban any player, online or offline. A complete banned users list is accessible through the GUI. Other plugins either add more buttons or execute commands through the panel. Make sure you grant the necessary permissions to your account, or you won’t see the buttons.
Permissions
The Admin Panel and its plugins require permissions, which you grant using Oxide commands in the server console:
oxide.grant [user/group] [name/steamID64] [permission]
After granting permissions, you may need to run /adminpanel show in chat to apply changes. Key permissions include:
adminpanel.autotoggle.admin — Automatically toggles the panel for admins.
adminpanel.allowed — Grants access to view and use the Admin Panel.
adminradar.allowed — Enables Admin Radar in the panel.
godmode.toggle — Enables God Mode in the panel.
vanish.allow — Enables Vanish in the panel.
playeradministration.access.show — Enables Player Administration in the panel.
Chat Commands
Some commands are available through the Admin Panel for quick actions:
/adminpanel hide — Hides the Admin Panel from view.
/adminpanel show — Refreshes and displays the panel.
/adminpanel settp — Sets a custom teleport location for your character.
/adminpanel settp all — Sets teleport location for all admins.
/adminpanel removetp — Removes your custom teleport location.
Configuration
To change button styles, edit the configuration file accessible via FTP:
Go to FTP File Access from your server panel.
Navigate to …/oxide/config.
Locate AdminPanel.json and click Edit.
Make your changes and click Save.
Restart the server to apply edits.
Common Issues
Admin Panel Not Working:
Ensure uMod support is enabled in the Customizations tab.
Make sure your account has adminpanel.allowed and is set as a server admin.
Cannot See Other Buttons:
Install additional plugins to make their buttons appear.
Grant the necessary permissions for each plugin to your account. Without this, the panel won’t integrate properly.
